A 39 minute film showing highlights from the June 2013 Festa in Mortale

Festa di S. Antonio 2013

Highlights of the Festa di S. Antonio on Thursday 13th June 2013 in Mortale starting with the band warming up at 9 a.m. to the mass and procession at 11 a.m., followed by music and dancing at La Soda until the early hours of the following morning.  The mass was led this year by Don Franco Facchini (son of Maria Antonia Forte), who said his first mass on this day exactly 25 years ago at the Festa di S. Antonio of 1988. 

At the end of the formal festa proceedings, the local mayor unveiled a plaque in the church square renaming it as Piazza Charles Forte.  This year was also very special as so many emigrants and their families had returned to Mortale from far and wide, not just for the Festa but also for the wonderful wedding of Michele Forte and Angela Gill from Bexhill, held in Mortale just two days later.
